About me
I was born in Guatemala City, Central America. The word “Guatemala” comes from the Nahuatl “Quauhtlemallan” (place of many trees). Guatemala is the home of 37 volcanoes, tropical forests, and the wonderful Mayan culture.
Since I was a young girl, I have always been extremely curious, often asking many questions of all the people around about the problems of life.
I couldn’t find satisfactory answers with my teachers, with the priest, and later not at the university or at work.
Therefore, I started doing research in psychology, various spiritual traditions, and self-help books.
It was in 1997 that I attended a conference on the “Four Noble Truths” and heard about how to use analytical meditation to get rid of anger. From that moment on something clicked in me and I realized that this was what I had been looking for for so long.
I was delighted because truly this was something very logical; I understood that if I transformed my mind and my thoughts, I could change my emotions and that in this way I could live more happily and more at peace with myself and with others.
